Prepress Projects has gained the Investors In Young People (IIYP) Good Practice Award at Gold level.
The company has held Investors in People (IIP) accreditation since 2005, and in December 2016 was awarded IIP accreditation at Gold level. At the same time it was recognised as an Investor in Young People for the first time.
The IIYP Gold award follows an independent review carried out in December 2017 of company policies, a staff survey and interviews with employees (everyone in the company was interviewed).
Production Director Dr Lucy Harrier, who was the driving force behind this award, said:
We are extremely pleased that our policies aimed at younger employees have been recognised by this award. Young people can have a difficult time getting started in any career, and publishing in particular can be a difficult industry to enter. Young employees are future project leaders and managers and we aim to support them through training, coaching and good management and, in turn, they will support the business with their commitment, skills and experience.
